Professor Jerzy Vetulani has died
The tragic event occurred on March 2. Professor Jerzy Vetulani was hit by a caród, when crossing a crosswalk near Balicka Street in Krakow, Poland. The scientist suffered serious injuries, whichóre proved to be fatal.
Jerzy Vetulani was born in 1936. He was an outstanding scientist. It is difficult to write down all his achievements. He was a professor of life sciences, neurobiologist, biochemist, psychopharmacologist. He was a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences.
He was awarded the Golden Cross of Merit and the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. He received róHe also received honorary doctorates from the Medical University of Lodz and the Medical University of Silesia. He was an honorary member of the Indian Academy of Neurosciences and the Oxford Neurological Society.
